Claudia García
Multidisciplinary Artist – Artistic Project Manager
I find myself at the intersection of music, illustration, creativity, education, project management, and, most recently, technology. These areas are the foundation of everything I do, and integrating them into a meaningful career has been an exciting and challenging adventure.
Job titles have never fully captured the scope of my work–I enjoy embracing a multifaceted approach. My practice includes music performance, project management and teaching, visual storytelling through illustration and animation, and exploring how technology can amplify artistic expression. Social impact and writing often weave their way into my projects, adding depth and meaning to what I create.
I am driven by curiosity and the desire to connect with others through art. My goal is to spark connections, inspire curiosity, and explore how different disciplines can work together to engage and move audiences.

Background
My experience includes coordinating and managing complex projects such as creating large-scale illustrations and animations for a piano concert in a planetarium dome, an international tour for a youth orchestra, and working with Yo-Yo Ma and his team on the Bach Project in Medellín. I also have over 10 years of experience working with social music programs, organizations, and initiatives that aim to enrich communities through art and music.
Currently working as a freelance Education Coordinator with the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra (Filarmed), overseeing all educational initiatives, including the design of their didactic concerts.
Recent and upcoming projects
Most recent project
The Little Mermaid – As part of a celebration of Hans Christian Andersen’s 150th anniversary, I wrote the script for a new version of The Little Mermaid, reimagined for an educational concert. This interdisciplinary project involved the creation of live animation to complement the music, blending storytelling, animation, and orchestral performance to create an engaging and educational experience for audiences of all ages.
Upcoming Projects
Touring with an Argentinean Tango Group in Colombia – This March, I will join an Argentinean tango group as bass player on their South American tour through six cities in Colombia: Cartago, Cali, Palmira, Calarcá, Pereira and Buga.
